Man found shot in Englewood dies CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a 20-year-old man died after being shot in Englewood on Saturday afternoon, according to Chicago police. Police say the man, who had been shot in the chest, was found lying on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of West 58th Street just before 2:50 p.m.  Joliet man charged in connection with teen’s fatal overdose According to police, the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers have not yet identified the slain man and say no arrests have been made in connection with the deadly shooting. Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and the detectives say an investigation is underway.  FBI agents search for man who robbed bank in Elgin Anyone with information on the deadly shooting can leave a tip for police at CPDtip.com. Hastings man dies in car crash on Highway 55 Friday night One person was killed and four others were injured in a head-on collision west of Hastings on Friday night, the Minnesota State Patrol said.The crash occurred about 6:15 p.m. when a Kia Rondo traveling eastbound on Highway 55 in Nininger Township crossed into the westbound lane, striking a Honda CR-V.The driver of the Kia, Brian Bigalke of Hastings, died. He was 47. Aurora homicide suspect arrested; allegedly beat man to death at RTD station A homicide suspect has been arrested in connection to a death at an RTD rail station.On Wednesday officers responded to a report of a robbery at the RTD Nine Mile Station, 3181 S. Parker Road, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.A light rail conductor reported to RTD dispatch there was an unconscious man lying on the tracks, an open backpack and personal items were also on the tracks, the release said. The man was taken to a hospital where he died Friday morning.Daniel Maxine Tivet, 34, was arrested Friday afternoon on investigation of second-degree murder and robbery, police said. Evidence from the scene suggests the man died from injuries suffered in a fist fight with Tivet on the light rail platform. The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office after family is notified. An investigation is ongoing.An advisement hearing for Tivet is scheduled Tuesday morning in Arapahoe County.

Man shot and killed in Perris, authorities investigating   An investigation is being launched into what led up to a man being shot to death in Perris. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the Perris Sheriff Station responded to a residence in the 300 block of West First Street around 9 p.m. Friday night regarding reports of a shooting victim. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Video: 4 thieves ransack Highland Park smoke shop The victim was identified as 21-year-old Alexis Larranaga of Perris. A description of the suspect has not yet been released, and the Central Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator G.
