But at the same time, going back, that nostalgia, it’s a rival to me now and I can’t wait to tear up Folsom.”In the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, Rice, the son of NFL Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice, fl...Arrest made in brutal beating of teen at L.A. Rookie Luis Medina snapped out of a slump Thursday and looked more like the starting pitcher the Oakland A’s envisioned when they acquired him from the New York Yankees a little over a year ago.In perhaps the 24-year-old’s best start this season, Medina retired 15 of his first 19 batters and held the AL Central Division-champion Minnesota Twins to just one run in six innings in Oakland’s 2-1 victory.Fellow A’s rookie Ryan Noda provided the difference in the game, hitting a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning. In his three previous September starts, Medina had given up 16 runs in 17 innings. But he ended his first season in the majors by getting out of a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the sixth. Medina had issued a walk, allowed a single to ex-Giant Donovan Solano and hit a batter. But a double play followed by a groundout got the right-hander out of the inning.Medina gave up just three singles while equaling his season-high by working six innings.“I think it was one of his best (...Teen arrested in England for cutting down famous tree
