His father believes it’ll be ‘several more years’

Dell Curry remembers what he felt like when he was 35 years old in the NBA.That’s why he can marvel better than anyone at what his son Steph is able to do on the floor — and why he thinks Steph can stay among the NBA’s elite for years still to come.“I don’t see him slowing down,” Dell Curry said. “I remember how I felt at 35 and I didn’t have the mileage he has, but his work ethic in the summer gets him ready for the grind and what he has to go through.”Steph Curry made his ninth All-NBA team in 2022-23, finishing the regular season with 29.4 points (on 49.3% shooting and 42.7% 3-point shooting), 6.3 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game. He arguably was even better in the postseason, leading the Warriors to their first round win over their NorCal rival Kings with a 50-point effort in Game 7 at Sacramento. When he’s performing like this even after turning 35 in March, it makes it hard to think he can’t keep up this level – especially for those close to him, like Dell.“I don’t want to put...Man charged in South Bay crime spree a no-show again for arraignment

He said Vicky White, who was not related to him, was the first person who cared about him in six years. He apologized for the escape, saying Vicky White’s only regret was leaving behind her family.“We just wanted a new life together because she knew the truth. I can handle the truth because I know who I am,” White said. “I chose this road. It’s cost me my life and freedom.” White was serving a 75-year prison term for an array of charges from 2015, including attempted murder, and he was awaiting a capital murder trial wh...Haslem spent entire career with Heat, but almost went to the Nuggets

MIAMI (AP) — There is some irony in the Denver Nuggets being the last team that Udonis Haslem will ever suit up against. They were the team that almost got him out of Miami. In the summer of 2010, when most of the eyes in the NBA free agent world were on Miami for three other reasons — LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade — the Nuggets made a serious run at signing Haslem. The offer: five years, $34 million. And he was seriously tempted. But then Miami’s pieces began falling into place. Bosh said he wanted to play in Miami, which got Wade to stay in Miami, then got James to commit to Miami and the Heat “Big Three” era was born. And on the night they all signed their contracts in Miami, those three players were huddled with Heat executives figuring out how much money they would have to give back to retain or sign some other players — including Haslem, who eventually re-signed with the Heat for five years and $20 million.“I hadn’t thought about that,” Haslem said. “I could have gone ...Latest news
