A teacher at a Miami Springs school accidentally showed students a slasher film that featured Winnie the Pooh, angering several parents who are now wondering how the campus mishap happened. The film shown to some fourth graders at the Academy for Innovative Education Charter School did not depict A.A. Milne’s cute and cuddly bear. The movie selection was “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” a horror take on author A. A. Milne’s beloved creation. “Honestly, I don’t know if I would play that for fourth grade,” parent Melissa Barreio said.Barreio, a mother to a 7 and 14-year-old, told 7News she heard about the slasher movie that was played. The film, which is not rated, follows Pooh and Piglet as they go on a bloody rampage after Christopher Robin abandons he them when he goes to college. The head of school, Vera Hirsh, provided 7News with a statement, which said the video was mistakenly shown by the teacher during indoor lunch.“I don’t know how...Henry Kissinger on Hamas attacks fallout: Germany let in too many foreigners

Hamas’ attack against Israel being celebrated on the streets of Berlin indicates that Germany has let too many foreigners into the country, according to former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. “It was a grave mistake to let in so many people of totally different culture and religion and concepts, because it creates a pressure group inside each country that does that,” the 100-year-old ex-top American diplomat said in an interview with Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner for Germany’s Welt TV.German-born Holocaust survivor Kissinger — who went on to become the architect of American foreign policy during the Vietnam War — said that it was “painful,” in response to a question about seeing Arabs in Berlin celebrating last weekend’s assault on Israel. In a surprise attack that started on Saturday morning, Hamas militants stormed out of the Gaza Strip, killing more than 1,200 Israelis and abducting dozens more, while firing rockets at cities...Man living in Cambridge heading to join Israeli military in fight against Hamas

Students and parents at a Jewish school in Brookline recently packed up supplies after gathering donations to send to Israeli soldiers fighting on the front lines as part of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The supplies packed at Maimonides Jewish School fill 61 duffel bags. Most of the bags made it on a plane to Israel by 5 p.m. on Tuesday.“They’re 6,000 miles away and they are my brother, literal and figurative brother and sister,” said Rabbi Yaakov Green of the Maimonides School. “We need to do something. Idle hands. We need to feel like we’re contributing even in a small, tiny little, miniscule, drop in the bucket way.”The school got involved after two of its alumni were called up as reservists by the Israeli Defense Force. Those soldiers told the school what they needed and families answered the call. “It’s something as small and mundane as Aquaphor for lips that are gonna get chapped sitting in the trenches at night when it’s cold,” Green said. “Hand warmer...The Revolution have awarded Henry Kessler a contract exptension

By MATTHEW LEE and AAMER MADHANI (Associated Press)WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Wednesday condemned the weekend attack by Hamas militants on Israel as the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust as the number of U.S. citizens killed in the fighting ticked up to at least 22.“This attack was a campaign of pure cruelty — not just hate, but pure cruelty — against the Jewish people,” Biden told Jewish leaders gathered at the White House.Beyond the 22 known to have been killed, the State Department said at least 17 more Americans remain unaccounted for in a war that has already claimed more than 2,200 lives on both sides.
