QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The Warren County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is hosting a talk on the state of national higher education, and how that effort affects economies in regions local and nationwide. Dr. Rachel Sederberg is returning to the region for her second talk. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! The EDC will welcome Sederberg for "Wading in with the Workforce of Tomorrow," a talk to be held Thursday, June 15, at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury. From 8:30 - 10 a.m., Sederberg will speak on what a large percentage of college-bound high school graduates means for jobs that don't require a degree, like trade professions. Drawing in relevance, the Warren County region is part of WSWHE BOCES, which educates students in various trades.Registration will be made available online. CLAYTON, Mo. - A Ferguson man appeared in St. Louis Circuit Court on Wednesday on domestic violence charges.According to a report filed by the Ferguson Police Department, the incident occurred May 21 at an apartment in the 1300 block of Ferguson Avenue.Police claim Jeremy Jackson threw bleach on the victim and her belongings as she was attempting to pick up her stuff from the apartment they had previously shared.Jackson allegedly pointed a gun at the woman, who attempted to flee. A Loveland police officer was terminated after he hit a woman in the face while she was being evaluated at the hospital, the Loveland Police Department announced in a Wednesday morning news release.The incident, which is being investigated by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, happened Saturday evening. One person was seriously injured in a house fire in Lakewood on Wednesday morning.The fire at a house in the 9900 block of West Wesley Avenue was started by an electrical problem in the living room, West Metro Fire Rescue said in a tweet.Homeowner was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The fire started in the living room- the cause was electrical. There is heavy fire damage to the room of origin and the adjacent kitchen. 66-Year-Old Rider Dies after a Motorcycle-Vehicle Accident near Madison StreetRIVERSIDE, CA (May 24, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a motorcycle accident on Indiana Avenue claimed the life of Tony Dunn.The incident happened on May 21st, at around 12:15 a.m., at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Madison Street.According to reports, the collision involved a silver 2010 Lexus driven by a 20-year-old with two passengers, and 66-year-old Dunn operating his 2000 Harley Davidson. Reno Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident near Sky Ranch BoulevardRENO, NV (May 23, 2023) – On Sunday night, Zachary Carl Zaborac was killed in a car and motorcycle crash on Pyramid Way.The accident took place at the intersection of Pyramid Way and Sky Ranch Boulevard around 10:10 p.m. on April 23rd.According to reports, a Subaru driver heading north on SR 445 attempted to turn left onto Sky Ranch, when it hit the front of the Harley-Davidson heading south on SR 445.Paramedics transported the rider to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
