Insiders close to the Presley family and the Elvis Presley estate are reportedly furious about the leak of the late Lisa Marie Presley’s private emails to Sofia Coppola, in which she asked the director to change how her father would be depicted in her new film, “Priscilla,” saying that the script was “shockingly vengeful and contemptuous” and would strain her already fragile relationship with her mother, Priscilla Presley. One of the Presley estate insiders, who spoke to Page Six, suggested that the timing of the leak is “deeply suspicious” — just before “Priscilla” opens wide in theaters this weekend. The insider questioned whether the email leak to Variety was done to generate controversy, which would in turn create public interest that could help the film at the box office.“These emails obviously did not come from Lisa or anyone close to her, nor the Elvis estate,” the insider told Page Six. “By making public a private em...Letters: Utility tax | What problems? | Campus climate

You could not get out of paying the utility tax, even if you buy zero electricity from the grid. The utility tax would increase the utility bills of millions of people who live in apartments, condos and other homes that don’t use much electricity. This tax would discourage any form of conservation, including turning down the AC, using efficient appliances or installing solar panels.Tari and Bill NicholsonMartinezColumnist overstatesCalifornia’s problemsRe: “As governor travels overseas, state economic outlook worsens” (Page A6, Oct. 26)....Warriors send rookies Podziemski, Jackson-Davis to Santa Cruz

OKLAHOMA CITY — Rookies Trayce Jackson-Davis and Brandin Podziemski were assigned to the G League team in Santa Cruz and didn’t travel with the Warriors for Friday’s game in Oklahoma City.Though both rookies have played well in their brief appearances with the Warriors, the decision came down to opportunity.Podziemski, 20, and Jackson-Davis, 23, are on the fringes of the rotation and wouldn’t get consistent minutes with the NBA team, coach Steve Kerr said. The two will join the Santa Cruz team for their training camp opener to keep them in action and off the bench.“A lot of great drill work, scrimmage time and with neither guy in the rotation right now, we felt like it was better time spent there,” Kerr said. “Then they’ll rejoin the team soon.”Related ArticlesGolden State Warriors | How the Warriors will approach the in-season tournament, which opens Friday vs. OKC Golden State Warriors | Draymond Gree...Protesters demanding ceasefire in Israel-Hamas war gather at Port of Oakland
